It is a well-known fact that everybody loves puppies. No matter what shape or size they are, nobody can resist petting these adorable creations. But unfortunately, there are some cruel people in this world who are leaving these adorable animals in shelters and even throwing them away. This is what happened to Bertram the Pomeranian, who was left behind by his breeders because he was ‘too big to sell’. Luckily New York artist, Kathy Grayson, found Bert on petfinder and immediately decided to adopt him. “They listed his name on petfinder as “Jasper”. I flew to Tulsa and drove to the town to pick him up, it was a wonderful adventure. The shelter was sad to see him go, he definitely had gotten some special extra love there,” Kathy told.
Bert is now a social media star with over 93k followers on Instagram, ‘working’ at his owner’s gallery The Hole. Grayson says there was something about the pup’s eye that caught her attention, and she’s truly happy that she adopted him. Everyone now refers to Bert as an art connoisseur, due to his new role at the gallery. “I love when people come to the gallery to see Bertie or when they bring their dogs to meet Bertie! The gallery is free and open to the public so come on by and pet him!”
When it comes to Bert’s incredible social media success, his owner says she is not surprised, “Bert is a wonderful guy and makes people happy, the internet and social media is built for cute animals, people need an antidote to all the nastiness.”
